These ingots undergo forging or rolling, transforming into a wide array of forms such as plates, strips, bars, and sections with varied cross-sectional shapes. Typically, carbon steel is utilized in its hot-rolled state. However, for the manufacture of tools and specialized machine parts, it undergoes precision heat treatments to meet specific requirements. Most steel castings also benefit from specialized heat treatments to significantly enhance their properties.
