Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Sheet in Coil (GI) is meticulously crafted by passing the Full Hard sheet, which has already undergone acid washing and rolling processes, through a zinc pot. This procedure applies a resilient zinc film to the surface, bestowing the steel with exceptional corrosion resistance, remarkable paintability, and superior workability, thanks to the inherent properties of zinc. The hot-dipped galvanized steel sheet and coil processes share similar specifications and procedures. Hot-dip galvanizing involves an intricate process of applying a protective zinc coating to a steel or iron sheet, effectively preventing rust. This results in steel with outstanding anti-corrosion, excellent paintability, and superior processability due to zinc's self-sacrificing nature. Customers have the flexibility to select and produce customized amounts of zinc coating, with the potential for thick zinc layers up to 275g/m2. Depending on whether the sheet undergoes skin pass treatment, it can be classified into zero spangle or extra smooth categories.
