Channel steel is a versatile, elongated strip of steel with a fluted cross-section, crafted from carbon structural steel and often used in construction and mechanical applications. Known as a profile steel with a complex section, its unique groove shape lends itself to a variety of uses including building structures, curtain wall engineering, machinery, and vehicle manufacturing. Frequently paired with I-beams, channel steel comes in ordinary U-steel and light channel steel variants. Hot rolled ordinary channel steel ranges from 5-40#, while hot rolled flexible channel steel spans from 6.5-30# based on buyer-supplier agreements.
