Rebar, also known as Deformed Steel Bar, is the standardized term for hot-rolled ribbed steel bars.
Rebar is an essential material in civil engineering construction, ranging from residential houses, bridges, and roads to extensive public infrastructures like highways, railways, culverts, tunnels, flood control mechanisms, and dams. It is also used in the foundations, beams, columns, walls, and slabs of buildings. The standard grades for hot-rolled steel bars are denoted by HRB followed by their minimum yield strength values. 'HRB' stands for Hot-Rolled Ribbed Bars. The steel bars are classified into three grades: HRB335 (formerly 20MnSi), HRB400 (formerly 20MnSiV, 20MnSiNb, 20MnTi), and HRB500.
