Channel steel is a versatile, elongated steel strip with a grooved cross-section, constructed from carbon structural steel and widely used in both construction and mechanical applications. Its profile features a complex, groove-shaped section, making it ideal for building structures, curtain wall engineering, mechanical equipment, and vehicle manufacturing. Often paired with I-beams, channel steel comes in two varieties: ordinary U-steel and light channel steel. Hot-rolled ordinary channel steel ranges from 5-40#, while hot-rolled flexible channel steel ranges from 6.5-30#, customizable through an agreement between the purchaser and the supplier.
