Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Sheet in Coil (GI) is created by passing a Full Hard sheet, which has undergone both acid washing and rolling processes, through a zinc pot. This process applies a robust zinc film to the sheet's surface, known for its exceptional corrosion resistance, paintability, and workability, all thanks to Zinc's unique properties. Typically, the specifications and processing methods for hot-dipped galvanized steel sheets and coils are virtually identical. Hot-dip galvanizing involves coating a steel or iron sheet with a protective layer of zinc to prevent rust. This zinc coating offers superior anti-corrosion, paintability, and workability due to zinc's self-sacrificing nature, and can be customized to achieve the desired zinc coating thickness, with maximum layers up to 275g/m2. The finished product can be classified as either zero spangle or extra smooth, depending on whether it undergoes skin pass treatment.
