The Art of Smelting Carbon Steel Perfection Our carbon steel is meticulously smelted using both converters and open hearth processes. With the rapid advancement of oxygen top-blow converter technology, the future may see it entirely replacing open hearth furnaces. The refined liquid steel is then carefully poured into ingot molds, from which a variety of ingots are formed. These ingots are subsequently forged or rolled into plates, strips, bars, and various section shapes. Carbon steel is most commonly utilized in its hot rolled state. However, when employed in the creation of tools and diverse machine parts, it undergoes specialized heat treatments tailored to specific usage requirements. Additionally, steel castings are predominantly subjected to heat treatment to enhance their properties.
