The rapidly advancing technology of oxygen top blow converters is increasingly replacing open hearth furnaces. Refined molten steel is poured into ingot molds to create diverse ingot forms. These ingots, once forged or rolled, are transformed into plates, strips, bars, and sections of multiple shapes. Carbon steel is often used directly in its hot rolled state. For manufacturing tools and machine parts, it undergoes specific heat treatments as per requirements. Steel castings, on the other hand, are mostly heat-treated to enhance their properties.
